1st Application of Skin Booster Ampoule

2nd Application of Skin Booster Ampoule

- After light needling on the epidermal area, the ampoule is applied again.

3rd Application of Skin Booster Ampoule

- Needling targets the basement membrane at the dermal-epidermal junction, then the ampoule is applied.

4th Application of Skin Booster Ampoule

- For areas requiring special intensive care, such as pores or scars, the ampoule is applied one more time after needling to finish.

Our Clinic's Skin Booster Delivery Method: Layering Treatment

The absorption rate of Juvelook's active ingredients is limited by simply applying it to the skin's surface. Considering this, our clinic

performs skin booster treatments using needle radiofrequency devices like MTS (Microneedle Therapy System) and Potenza RF to enhance absorption through a layering method.

The particle size of Juvelook skin booster is approximately 30-50μm. This size is known to be well absorbed into the skin through treatments like MTS or Potenza RF. We apply a layering technique in our treatments to reduce potential loss that can occur with simple topical application and to ensure the active ingredients are delivered deep into the skin.

Layering Treatment using MTS Device

MTS creates tiny channels, approximately 150μm, on the skin's surface, preparing a pathway for the absorption of active ingredients like skin boosters.

Our clinic aims to enhance the absorption rate of active ingredients by subdividing the MTS treatment into 4 layering steps.

First, a priming ampoule is applied to the skin surface.

After light needling, the ampoule is applied once more to target the epidermal layer.

The ampoule is also carefully applied to the dermal-epidermal junction.

Finally, the ampoule is applied to specific areas requiring intensive care, such as pores or scars.

After the treatment, calming care, such as a Jaundo (紫雲膏) modeling pack, is performed to soothe skin irritation, completing the procedure.

Layering Treatment using Potenza RF Microneedling Device

Potenza RF creates microscopic channels, approximately 180μm in size, in the skin and then uses radiofrequency thermal energy to contract these channels. This process prevents fluid reflux, or 'overflow,' which can occur in general needle treatments, reducing the loss of Juvelook medication and helping it to be delivered more accurately into the dermal layer.

While this treatment method may result in some medication loss compared to manual injection, it is expected to deliver the medication relatively uniformly to the targeted dermal layer. Furthermore, it offers the advantage of reducing pain burden while facilitating even absorption of the medication.

Similar to MTS treatment, the needle depth can be adjusted, allowing for the application of a 4-step layering technique during the procedure.

Our clinic meticulously considers each patient's unique skin condition and can choose the most suitable among MTS and Potenza RF treatments, or combine them as needed.

Why Our Clinic Uses These Treatment Methods

Juvelook is initially provided in powder form.

Therefore, before treatment, it must be thoroughly mixed with saline solution to achieve an appropriate viscosity and undergo a stabilization process.

If a manual injection method is chosen, there is a risk that the medication may clump under the skin, forming nodules, if the drug is insufficiently mixed or if the injection depth is not precisely controlled.

If the medication enters the subcutaneous fat layer instead of the targeted dermal layer, it may be difficult to achieve the expected improvement.

Even with skilled injection techniques, the possibility of side effects such as nodules cannot be completely eliminated. Therefore, we meticulously assess each individual's skin condition and formulate a treatment plan that minimizes the risk of side effects while achieving satisfying improvement.

The hydration method of the drug, viscosity control, and the creation of passages within the skin for absorption are crucial elements of the procedure. We apply layering techniques to delicately tailor the treatment to each patient's skin condition, ensuring that the medication is effectively delivered to the dermis.

What is Juvelook Skinbooster?

Juvelook is a skinbooster product composed of polylactic acid (PDLLA) and hyaluronic acid (HA).

Juvelook can help improve skin texture, pores, fine lines, and acne scars. It is known as a regenerative skinbooster that induces the production of autologous collagen and elastin in the dermis, contributing to the recovery of skin density and elasticity.

The PDLLA component has a smaller particle size than PLLA used in Sculptra. This characteristic is beneficial for drug absorption and can help reduce the possibility of nodule formation. It is designed to be delivered deep into the skin with less burden of inflammation or nodule reactions, allowing individuals with sensitive skin to also consider the procedure.

Juvelook is composed of the following ingredients:

PDLLA 42.5mg (an ingredient that helps stimulate autologous collagen production in the skin)

Non-crosslinked Hyaluronic Acid 7.5mg (provides hydration to the skin and helps improve the skin barrier)

When injected into the dermis, PDLLA stimulates fibroblasts, inducing the production of collagen and elastin fibers.

Collagen is involved in skin density and thickness, while elastin is an important component for maintaining skin elasticity.

When the production of these two fibers is activated, positive changes can be expected for various skin concerns such as fine lines, enlarged pores, and decreased skin elasticity.

PDLLA also has the function of acting on stem cells to induce the differentiation of new fibroblasts.
